Our Team

Our team is striving to set a higher standard for physiotherapy.

Our goal is to combine the detail and precision of high-performance sport with personalised, accessible care for athletes and active people.

Alex McVeigh

Alex is a Sports Physiotherapist with more than 10 years of experience across elite sport and private practice. He currently works with the Geelong Football Club in the AFL alongside his clinical role at Athletic Physiotherapy.

His primary clinical interests are hip and groin pain and ACL rehabilitation. He works with athletes and active individuals across the full rehabilitation pathway, from diagnosis and early-stage management through to strength development, return to running, return to sport, and performance.

Alex’s approach combines detailed clinical assessment, objective strength and performance testing, hands-on treatment, and progressive rehabilitation. His focus is on identifying the factors limiting recovery, restoring physical capacity, and building a clear pathway back to confident, high-level performance.

Alex holds postgraduate qualifications in Sports Physiotherapy and Strength & Conditioning and has worked across high-performance environments in Australian Rules football and professional rugby.

Alongside clinical practice, Alex is completing a PhD focused on hip strength assessment in elite sport. His research complements his clinical interest in hip and groin rehabilitation, with a focus on improving how strength is measured, interpreted, and used to guide rehabilitation and performance
